Abbie and Anna are in love. They are fantastic with her. They are a great help with holding her while I deal with whatever it is I need to deal with (read: Lucas). They adore her. They are going to prove to be my saving grace.

They are, however, consistently amazed by the actual tiny person she is. "Whoa! She just moved her hand!!" Yes, girls, she's not a robot.

She seems to like them too.

Moving on to Miles. ADORES HER. He really couldn't be more entranced and fascinated.

He doesn't seem to mind her screaming (and boy can she!) and he's very into holding her.

I happen to think it's a very beautiful thing; the older brother, baby sister phenomenon they've got going on.

And I guess that brings us to Lucas. Well, folks. It's as bad as I feared. On one hand, he thinks she's really cool. He ALWAYS wants to hold her. And it starts out innocently enough.

"Be soft, Lucas." To which he says, "soft, soft, soft" while petting her face. And then it quickly turns ugly.

He's just really curious.

And then you catch him with her toes in his mouth, for example.
And really, he tries to be so sweet.

(notice the black and white for effect)
But he just can't control himself.

Yes, it's really THAT bad.

I can tell he's really trying though. He SEEMS to be doing better everyday.
Like this morning, for example. He was really soft and kind to her for about three whole minutes. Which is why I have these images:

Baby steps, right?
