Yup. 8 months has gone by since that fateful day I pleaded with my child to hurry up and get here already. And again I plead. Sleep. Please. Mom is tired. Falling asleep at the wheel tired.

I know I've mentioned Lucas's tiny-ness many times, but it's official folks. He's been diagnosed as Failure to Thrive. (Sad emoticon).

The thing is that he looks (other than the Skeletor thing) the picture of health. He's got no weird symptoms. Nothing at all to indicate that something might be wrong... except the fact that he was a mere 13 pounds even at his 7.5 month weight check. **HEAVY SIGH**

So, we went on Tuesday and enjoyed ourselves some testing. Testing for things like Cystic Fibrosis, Celiac disease, Renal Tubular Acidosis, and lots more. The good news is that it's none of those things that are causing him to be so skinny. However, we did receive results that his thyroid levels are "slightly low". We've been referred to a Pediatric Endocrinologist. We have an appointment on the 19th.

But in the meantime... about Lucas at 8 months old.
*LOVES his big sisters. Smiles as soon as they enter a room.
*thoroughly enjoys food. will grab at anything you try to eat.
*pulls up to standing. sometimes tries to let go and stand unassisted.
*has two teeth on the bottom.
*very attached to Mom. whines anytime I leave the room.
*does not sleep through the night. wakes up at least once. usually more.

I seriously can't believe it's been 8 months see this little man entered our lives. It has flown. And while I miss my newborn Lucas, I really love his emerging personality.
